When a control abnormality occurs in a terminal device (such as a stage sound module or an industrial valve), the decentralized solution requires checking four links one by one: "terminal device → independent controller → connection line → master control system". Taking 10 terminal devices as an example, an average of 10 controllers and 20-30 lines need to be inspected. If each link takes 10 minutes to check, the total detection time is approximately 200-300 minutes.

In the multi-channel controller solution, however, you can first judge whether the fault lies in the controller itself through its status indicator lights (e.g., a lit power light and flashing channel light indicate normal channel operation), then check only 1 connection line between the controller and the abnormal terminal. The detection scope is directly narrowed down to "controller → 1 line → 1 terminal", and the total detection time can be shortened to 30-40 minutes, improving efficiency by more than 70%.

 

Hidden Savings in Installation Space and Auxiliary Costs

In the decentralized controller solution, 10 independent controllers require separate installation brackets and distribution boxes. Calculated by each controller occupying 0.02㎡ of space, the total occupied space is about 0.2㎡, and the cost of distribution boxes and brackets is approximately 800-1000 yuan.

 

A single multi-channel controller, by contrast, is usually only the size of 1-2 standard shoe boxes (about 0.03㎡) and only needs one small installation position for fixation. The auxiliary installation cost can be reduced by more than 80%. It is especially suitable for space-constrained scenarios such as stage side platforms and industrial control cabinets, eliminating the need to reserve large additional areas for decentralized controllers.
