Definition of the reference value for response time:
Under normal working conditions, the response time of the electromagnetic brake of the stage electric truss winch (from the issuance of the power-off command to the complete of the friction plate to the brake wheel) should be ≤ 0.2 seconds. For precision hoisting scenarios (such as suspending actor slings), the response time needs to be controlled within 0.1 seconds to avoid position deviation caused by delay.
Methods for regular detection:
Use the "photoelectric speed measurement method" or "displacement sensor method" for monitoring - install a photoelectric sensor next to the brake wheel to record the time it takes for the brake wheel to completely stop after power-off; or calculate the interval from the brake command to the cessation of movement through the change in hook displacement. If the results of three consecutive tests exceed 1.5 times the reference value, the machine must be shut down immediately for maintenance.
Troubleshooting of abnormal causes:
Problems with the electromagnetic system: Aging of the coil leads to weakened magnetic force (a multimeter can be used to detect the resistance value; if the deviation from the factory value exceeds ±10%, the coil needs to be replaced); faults in the rectifier cause unstable current, resulting in delayed engagement / release of the brake.
Wear of mechanical components: If the wear thickness of the friction plate exceeds 1/3 of its original thickness (usually 2-3mm), it will lead to excessive brake clearance; scratches and oil stains on the surface of the brake wheel (such as stage dust mixed with lubricating oil) will reduce the friction coefficient and prolong the response time. - Impact of environmental factors: When the stage humidity exceeds 85%, it may cause rusting of the iron core of the stage electric truss winch, increasing movement resistance; low-temperature environments (below 5℃) will increase the viscosity of the grease, affecting the flexibility of the brake arm movement.
