The maintenance interval of stage electric chain hoists shall be determined based on usage frequency. For daily high-frequency applications (e.g., permanent theater installations, touring equipment), maintenance is recommended every 15–30 days. For low-frequency applications (e.g., exhibitions, temporary performances), thorough maintenance is advised after each show, focusing on lubrication, wear inspection, and component tightening.
Precision Lubrication Maintenance
Use special lubricants designed for hoisting equipment; ordinary engine oil is strictly prohibited. Focus on lubricating transmission parts including G80 chains, sprockets, gearboxes, and bearings. Shorten lubrication intervals in humid, outdoor, or dusty environments to prevent chain rust and transmission jamming. Wipe off surface contaminants before lubrication to ensure full penetration of lubricant.
Component Wear Inspection
Focus on measuring chain wear. If the chain diameter is worn by more than 10% of the original size, or if cracks or permanent deformation appear, the chain must be scrapped and replaced immediately; continued use is forbidden. Inspect brake shoe wear and replace them promptly if excessively worn to ensure sufficient braking force. Tighten all screws on the hoist body, hooks, and hanging connections to prevent loosening during long-term operation.
Electrical System Maintenance
Inspect cables, terminals, and control switches for aging, moisture damage, or short circuits. Clean dust from electrical components to ensure adequate heat dissipation. Dry water stains promptly after outdoor use to avoid electrical short circuits caused by moisture. Unauthorized disassembly of the electrical system by non-professionals is prohibited.
Safety Device Verification
During maintenance, focus on testing the dual brake system and upper/lower dual limit switches to ensure fast braking response and accurate limit triggering. Safety devices represent the final line of defense for stage lifting. Repair immediately in case of failure; operation without safety devices is strictly forbidden.
